AMBITIOUS FUTURES has been designed to help young people gain practical experience, build confidence and explore careers in PR, marketing communications, content and social media.
Whether you’re considering your next step after GCSEs, college or university, or simply curious about what a career in communications could look like, AMBITIOUS Futures could give you real-world insight into an exciting industry and a better understanding about the skills you need to succeed.
OPEN DAYS
These Open Days are free, immersive, full-day experiences designed to give participants a genuine insight into life inside a communications agency.
Hosted at their Bristol office and delivered by the AMBITIOUS team, these sessions bring together practical workshops, live briefs and networking opportunities to showcase the breadth of careers available across the communications sector. This year they’ll be running two dedicated open days in partnership with organisations including community groups, education providers, helping us reach a diverse range of young people.
In groups of around 15, our Open Days are practical, interactive and designed to leave participants with new skills, confidence and a better understanding of the opportunities available within our industry. The first one takes place on 23rd September 2026.
WORK EXPERIENCE PLACEMENTS
Alongside THE Open Days, AMBITIOUS also offer a structured programme of work experience placements throughout the year.
These week-long placements provide young people with the opportunity to spend time inside AMBITIOUS, gaining first-hand experience of agency life and the day-to-day work involved in research, campaign creation, creating content and supporting clients. Unlike traditional work experience programmes, our placements are designed to provide meaningful exposure to the industry, giving participants the chance to contribute to real projects, learn from experienced consultants and develop practical skills that can support future applications and career choices.
Placements are available across both PR and communications, and content and social media pathways, helping participants explore different areas of the industry depending on their interests.
