Join us for Babbasa’s Annual Impact Event 2026, alongside the launch of Being Brit-ish — a powerful, youth-led photography exhibition exploring identity, migration, and what it means to be British today.
At a time when conversations around immigration, belonging, and national identity are increasingly visible — and often divisive – this event creates space for young people to lead a different narrative. Asking: What does it really mean to be British? And who gets to belong?
Created by Babbasa’s youth social action group (Culture Shock), Being Brit-ish challenges narrow definitions of Britishness and celebrates the cultures, histories, and communities that shape the country today. It reflects a simple truth: British identity has never been one thing – it has always been diverse, evolving, and enriched by global influences.
As our Impact Event for 2026, the evening will also showcase the impact Babbasa’s achieved in 2025 and share our vision for the future – highlighting how we continue to support young people to thrive, following a challenging period in 2024, and the publication of our recent Research Report on the Needs of Young People.
Expect an inspiring programme of photography, live performances, poetry, and a panel discussion. Open to young people, educators, creatives, business leaders and the wider community – with a warm invitation to wear cultural attire and celebrate together.
Join us for an inspiring evening of insight, creativity, and connection — with refreshments provided. The event is supported by the National Lottery and other partners.
Let’s come together to champion a more inclusive vision of Britain! 🇬🇧🥘🫖
