True to Nature is a Bristol-based independent production company founded by Dr. Wendy Drake, former head of the BBC Natural History Unit. They specialise in innovative, world-class natural history content and TV production using great storytelling to create lifelong relationships between people and nature.

As a Production Management Assistant/Logger, you’ll be working in the management department and assisting with the smooth administration and  running of the production office. Loggers watch all rushes (raw footage) and create a detailed document describing what  footage is on take. They log this as they go along and use specific software to do this.  Loggers can work both during production and postproduction. There is the potential for this placement to be extended if other productions start within the  company. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Organising production contact list  
  • Making and answering calls  
  • Monitoring stock  
  • Ordering stationary/equipment  
  • Process paperwork  

Skills You Should Have: 

  • Good Organisation and Communication Skills
  • IT literate with good typing skills
  • Attention to detail 
  • Readiness to ask questions and eagerness to gain knowledge of TV Production
