Two Weeks – Unpaid


Are you a creative and inquisitive team player who loves books and would like to learn more about the publishing industry? Are you a go-getter with big ideas about how to solve society’s challenges around diversity and representation?

Arkbound are offering a young person two weeks work experience in the publishing industry!  You’ll gain first-hand insight into the publishing industry and get involved with a variety of tasks supporting our editorial and charity outreach teams. You could help out with:

  • Book editing
  • Copywriting
  • Fundraising
  • Social media marketing
  • Researching

You do not need to have prior experience within a charity or publishing setting (digital media, magazines, or books) to apply for this role, however an interest in both industries is valued and encouraged.

Days per week can vary between 1 and 4 depending on your study/work commitments and our workload. Having access to a computer is required for this remote-working role as all tasks and feedback will be communicated via email or video call. You will receive induction training and regular support from your mentor throughout the work experience, plus you will be able to attend a career insight meeting with a member of the Arkbound team to discuss career pathway opportunities in the publishing or charity sector. Upon completion of the work experience, you will also receive a reference and the opportunity to access internal work opportunities.
