6 Months – Kickstart Scheme – 25 hours per week 


Bristol Old Vic is the oldest continuously working theatre in the English speaking world, a wedding and event hire venue, and a heritage destination. And they are currently recruiting for 5 roles through Bristol City Council’s Kickstart scheme. Applicants must be 18-24 and on Universal Credit. Applications must be made through the Job Centre via a DWP work coach. The roles available are:

• Broadcast Assistant
• Events Assistant
• Ferment Coordinator
• Heritage Assistant
• Workshop Assistant

This is a brilliant opportunity for 5 young people to begin a career in the cultural sector to work with Bristol Old Vic as we reopen and rebuild. These roles will be supporting our exciting in person and live stream programme plus our developing digital work, a new food and beverage business, a busy workshop and our artist development and Engagement departments. You will be mentored by Bristol Old Vic professionals receive bespoke on the job training.

Contracts: 6 months

Salary: National Minimum Wage

Hours: 25 per week

The Kickstart roles will each report to a manager in their specific area and will also receive training as a cohort.
