Babbasa is an ancient West African word, which means ordinary citizens or agencies coming together to act as a support bridge for those in need.  And the Bristol we want to see relies on this collaboration, on values-driven professionals and organisations coming together to level the playing field and create a more inclusive Bristol.

One way organisations can support our work is by selecting us as their chosen charity, donating equipment and/or funds, either for us to pass onto the underrepresented young people we support, or for us to use to ensure the sustainability of our youth empowerment programmes.

Towards the end of 2023, we were lucky enough to be one of the chosen charities for Foot Anstey, receiving a donation in the form of 50 refurbished laptops which we’ll be able to use to support the young people that we work with.

We were also supported by planning comms and PR agency Meeting Place when they decided to do things a little differently when it came to thanking their clients for another excellent year. Instead of sending Christmas cards and gifts, they donated their Charity of the Year, Babbasa.

It’s the support from businesses like these that allows us to continue our work in helping underrepresented young people achieve their career aspirations. So this is a huge thank you to them!
