We were very pleased to be chosen as the Charity Partner for the Constructing Excellence South West Awards 2024, which took place at Bristol Aerospace on 18th July 2024.
Constructing Excellence South West is a cross-sector, cross-supply chain, member-led organisation operating for the good of industry and its stakeholders. They drive the change agenda in construction within the south west region, and run the annual celebration of all.
The annual CESW Awards are a celebration of exemplary practices in the South West’s built environment sector, bringing together circa 500 professionals from across the region to showcase the sector’s dedication and determination to deliver diverse buildings, housing, infrastructure, and facilities through collaborative and sustainable means.
Zoe Lynes, Babbasa Head of Impact, delivered a passionate address to attendees about the work Babbasa does with underrepresented young people in Bristol, why we do this, and how we support businesses to provide more inclusive workplaces, which can attract, retain, and develop young diverse talent.
Hanad, whom we supported to access a summer work placement with ARUP as a software development vacation student, then told his story about how Babbasa helped him to build work related skills and provided him with tangible employment opportunities.
