“I was born in Bristol and the I’m the youngest of 3 children, with two brothers. Being the only girl can be annoying at times but I guess I’ve learnt to deal with it. Most people would describe me as being quite weird and dramatic, but others would say I’m quite reserved and quiet.
My hobbies include cooking and baking, writing, and watching a lot of YouTube. A memorable moment of mine is when my parents sent me on a 5-day writing course in the middle of nowhere. I found it memorable because there was no internet and we had to walk up to a tall hill to call home.
I would say that I have developed into a very ambitious person. However, my personality of being a reserved and a less outgoing person has held me back because I don’t always put myself forward for opportunities.
I decided to come to Babassa because I wanted to look for work, find out about other pathways that interest me and find some direction with my ambitions.
Before joining Babbasa, I was unsure of where to start to move towards my dream career. They have helped me to realise what I want to do in the future, which is to run my own catering business as a social enterprise.
I am in college doing an L3 Hospitality course and moving onto a Hospitality Supervisory course, and I now have the confidence to say what I want to do in the future. I am quiet but I am ambitious and work hard toward my goals.
My advice to other young people would be, don’t waste your time!!!”
