There are different ways that organisations can partner with Babbasa. One of these is by choosing us as your Charity of the Year, which is exactly what women’s tech firm Elvie have done.

Babbasa is very excited to be able to announce that we have been chosen as one of Elvie’s partnership charities for 2023, alongside sexual healthcare charity Planned Parenthood.

The main focus of this partnership is around fundraising to support Babbasa’s vital work with young people from Bristol’s under-represented communities. As part of this, Elvie will be organising and running quarterly fundraisers, the proceeds of which will go to Babbasa.

To mark the start of the partnership, Urfan, Qazzally and Matt from Babbasa went to meet the Elvie team at their Bristol office on 21st February to explain our purpose, the OurCity2030 vision to close Bristol’s equality gap, and how Elvie staff can get involved with Babbasa as Equal Opportunity Ambassadors (EOAs).

Attendees also heard from Babbasa Trailblazer, Qazzally Ali, about his journey as a young person in the city, how he was supported by Babbasa, and how this led to him actually joining the Babbasa team as Executive and Communications Assistant.

As well as fundraising and supporting Babbasa as mentors through our EOA scheme, Elvie staff will also be sharing their expertise with Babbasa staff and young people in order to provide learning opportunities, and Babbasa will be able to access pro-bono event space at the Elvie office.

We’re so excited to be working with Elvie, who clearly share our values and want to drive positive change in the city and beyond.
